Al got it first: a look of painful need in his eye as he hunched awkwardly to hide his discomfort. Then it spread to Dev. His shoulders tightened, his face grew stoic in a valiant attempt to retain mastery over his body. The expression in his eyes, though, made Jake’s skin twitch in sympathy. Then Fang got it, but Fang was used to dealing with his own needs. He went off into a corner and relieved himself quickly against the counter, and that was the last straw; Jake succumbed, his mind weaker than his flesh. Resigned, Jake picked the most attractive woman in the bar — one with fire-engine red hair and pouty lips — walked straight up to her, and said, “I’d like you to scratch my itch.” He winked cheekily and half-turned, pointing to the unreachable spot on his back, midway between his shoulder blades. “Right there, lovely.” |
